Who We Are Seeking:

  • An experienced accountant with 2-3 years of audit or US GAAP accounting, or a combination thereof
    • preferably in a multi-company environment with familiarity with consolidated financial statements.
    • A candidate with some experience (1+ busy season) in Big4 audit within the lower-middle market with private clients is preferred (but not required)
  • A professional who is highly detail-oriented with strong project management skills and excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Someone who is committed to a “team first” atmosphere and has the will to support their teammates and learn from those around them in each engagement.

About the Position:

This newly added position will support our growing internal accounting needs. The Accountant will be part of a small finance and accounting team and will work directly with (and be trained by) the Controller. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Public Accountant to transition into industry while learning the ropes.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Analyze and manage business cash flows and bank accounts.
  • Ensure accurate monthly recording of expenses.
  • Facilitate timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes for internal and external reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and analyses.
  • Assist the Controller with reporting and monthly reviews.
  • Drive compliance with controls and support new process implementations to enhance the control environment.
  • Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecast updates.
  • Assist with tax processes and reviews with external accountants.
  • Perform special accounting analyses and projects as requested.
  • Engage in ad hoc finance tasks, Excel modeling, and PowerBI projects.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • A valid CPA license is preferred; willingness to obtain the permit is required.
  • Direct experience with Intacct as a GL reporting system is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently in demanding environments.
  • Must be based in Los Angeles and willing to work in the office three days a week.
